Its nice to meet you!

It can be hard to know who you are. We base everything we do off our personal values and the experiences we’ve had. Sometimes you can feel lost, not knowing where to go next, not knowing who you are. Maybe you’re wanting to change careers because you’re not enjoying the daily routine, maybe you find yourself with unsatisfied about who you are and who society wants you to be, or maybe you’ve followed your family’s ways for so long that you are left wondering who you are as an individual. How do we know who our authentic selves are? What does it mean to live our authentic lives? Have you felt different than those around you?

In our sessions we will explore your strengths, values and life goals. I support clients through a non-judgement, empathetic, and genuine approach. Together we work through your current struggles and identify your barriers are to living the life you want to live. I strive to create a calm, safe space to allow you to express yourself and engage in change. As someone part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and being bi-racial, I can understand what it is like to feel different and not like those around you. Feeling like maybe you don’t fit into the social groups or people within the community. I want to help you have the self confidence to be who you are and find your people.

Together we can help you overcome the obstacles that stop you from living your most authentic life. I am here to ask the hard questions and take a deep dive into you are and who you want to be. I look forward to helping you find your true self.

Values

My Approach

Integrative

People are not one size fit all and therefore I use an integrative approach is adaptive to the individual sitting in front of me. I pull from many different orientations such as Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strengths-based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Cognitive Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Animal Assisted Therapy. As I learn new techniques I continue to integrate different approaches into my work with individuals.

Narrative Therapy

This orientation helps people reframe and rewrite the stories they tell about their lives. By viewing problems as separate from themselves and focusing on personal values, clients can reshape their identity and find new meaning. This approach empowers individuals to gain control and make positive changes in their lives.

Strengths-Based Therapy

You are the expert of you. We focus on identifying and using a person’s existing strengths and resources to tackle challenges and reach goals. Instead of focusing on problems, this approach highlights what clients are already good at and helps them use these abilities to improve their lives. It emphasizes empowerment, collaboration, and positive thinking, aiming to build confidence and resilience while setting meaningful goals.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

This orientation combines mindfulness practices, like meditation, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It helps people become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without judgment while using CBT techniques to challenge and change negative patterns. This approach aims to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being by blending mindfulness with practical cognitive strategies.

Expressive Arts Based Therapy

This form of therapy uses creative activities—such as drawing, painting, music, dance, and writing—to help individuals explore and express their emotions and experiences. It focuses on the creative process rather than the final product, allowing people to communicate and process feelings in a nonverbal way. This therapy can enhance self-awareness, reduce stress, and facilitate personal growth by tapping into the healing power of artistic expression.
