At Rise & Reflect, our foundation is built on the belief that true healing honors every person’s unique story. We are dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive retreat where you feel seen, grounded, and empowered to live authentically, bridging mind, body, and spirit as an integrated whole.
Your journey is our priority. We’re a team of genuine and caring therapists providing a calming space that is non-judgmental and warm. Our practice is designed to be warm and approachable, and we strive to make you feel safe and comfortable from the very first session. We believe holistic healing is a personalized process. We honour your unique journey with an integrative approach, holding a gentle space for you while you remain in control of your journey.
We speak with care, never assumption, providing a safe space rooted in somatic awareness and mindfulness.
We intentionally affirm all identities and lived experiences, ensuring there’s space for you here.
Your story matters, and we gently draw forward your inner light, reminding you of your worth.
Our focus is on whole-body wellness, understanding that healing isn’t linear but is possible.
The story of Rise & Reflect began with a simple yet significant insight: a sunflower. When the sun comes out, sunflowers turn their faces to it, gathering light and energy like solar panels. But as the sun sets or night falls, they aim themselves at each other. It was this beautiful movement of holding each other up that inspired the company’s founders. They understood that in life, we all encounter dark times, difficult times and moments of despair. We were inspired to create a place that would serve as a source of hope for those who needed it, a place where people could come and find solace, warmth, and genuine human connection.
The title “Rise & Reflect” was born out of this idea: to rise to meet life’s challenges and reflect on our inner guidance with the help of others. Out of this small but powerful vision, Rise & Reflect emerged as a well-respected name in holistic wellness. We offer a range of services, including psychotherapy, counselling, Iyengar yoga, and holistic nutrition. One that is particularly noteworthy is expansion from one office to two physical offices, allowing us to serve the Didsbury, Alberta, and Georgina, Ontario communities in person, in addition to our robust virtual offerings. We built a team of compassionate professionals with diverse experience, and the best part is that we are an unapologetically queer-affirming and BIPOC-positive space.
Our “why” is to create a world where asking for help is a badge of strength, not a weakness. We are driven by the potential to help people connect with their inner resilience and with their authentic selves. It’s not just about the service we provide; it’s more about building a community of support, like the sunflowers rising in the darkness.
We are committed to being a source of light for our clients, and we want them to find comfort in knowing that they are not alone and that real healing occurs when we allow others to support us.

Its nice to meet you!
It can be hard to know who you are. We base everything we do off our personal values and the experiences we’ve had. Sometimes you can feel lost, not knowing where to go next, not knowing who you are. Maybe you’re wanting to change careers because you’re not enjoying the daily routine, maybe you find yourself with unsatisfied about who you are and who society wants you to be, or maybe you’ve followed your family’s ways for so long that you are left wondering who you are as an individual. How do we know who our authentic selves are? What does it mean to live our authentic lives? Have you felt different than those around you?
In our sessions we will explore your strengths, values and life goals. I support clients through a non-judgement, empathetic, and genuine approach. Together we work through your current struggles and identify your barriers are to living the life you want to live. I strive to create a calm, safe space to allow you to express yourself and engage in change. As someone part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and being bi-racial, I can understand what it is like to feel different and not like those around you. Feeling like maybe you don’t fit into the social groups or people within the community. I want to help you have the self confidence to be who you are and find your people.
Together we can help you overcome the obstacles that stop you from living your most authentic life. I am here to ask the hard questions and take a deep dive into you are and who you want to be. I look forward to helping you find your true self.

BA, MC, CCC,
Its nice to meet you!
For myself, life has been an adventure. Some mountaintops with amazing views, some valleys of loss, learning and growth. I have lived half of my life in the far north (Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories). In relationship I have been privileged to experience family, chosen family, parenting and partnership. I love any creative process, which sometimes looks like making pottery, writing, painting or just taking the backroad.
One of my greatest life adventures has been working with clients in counselling. I have been employed in the mental health field for many years and love the creative process of supporting clients with mental health and wellness.
My hope is that those who come in to counselling might find it to be a grounding experience, a solid base. As individuals leave counselling I hope they can move from this solid base with clear direction, connected with self and others. No matter what your lived experience may have been so far, I am happy to work with you as you actively create what you want going forward.

Spiritual Health Practitioner
I am a lifelong learner and I love engaging in the process of growing, healing and learning about myself. I am passionate about being a companion to others in a way that helps them discover and grow in self-understanding, self-compassion and self-trust.
I am the mom of 3 awesome adult kids and a new grandma which is the absolute best!
I love tending to my garden, the birds in my yard and find peace and beauty in the mountains, water and kayaking. I continue learning through reading, listening to podcasts, taking courses, travelling and listening to people’s lives through story.
I am formally educated with a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Certified in Spiritual Direction from George Fox Seminary. I completed 4 Units of CPE (Clinical Psychospiritual Education) jointly through Ambrose University and Foothills Medical Center in Calgary and have trained and received Grief Care Professional Certificates.
I have also experienced the honor of listening and providing emotional/spiritual support to hundreds of people in Acute Care settings and in Palliative care. As much as I believe in the value of Education, my heart desire has always been to be a loving, listening presence to people. It took me a long time to value my own grief, my own story and now it is deeply fulfilling to assist others in a similar journey.
